Two burning questions I have about life is what my purpose in life is and what will happen to me in the afterlife. I'm a Christian, so believe in heaven or hell. I try to do everything I can to strenghten my faith and make sure I can spend an eternity with Jesus. I pray I can reunite with him one day in heaven. But I wonder what will happen when I die? Will my soul be sent up to heaven? Will get to reunite with dead family members? I wonder what the afterlife holds. But until then, I wonder what god's purpose for me on Earth is. I'm not sure yet but I believe God gave me the gift of being an empath to become a nurse. That's want I want to be because I want to be able to help people and impact their lives in a positive way. I believe that's what God sent me to do and I want to honor him. Today in class we began to write our orgin myth stories. I'm writing a story on how humans came to be. I learned a little bit more on the different aspects of writing an orgin myth.

A real-life situation in which jealousy negatively affected a relationship I experienced is one time I asked my friend to go to the boardwalk with me, and she told me she couldn't go. The next day, I saw that she had gone without me with another friend. I'm not going to lie, I did feel a little jealous, but in the end, it was a misunderstanding. She had already had plans to go with someone else and couldn't go with me that day. Today, I learned about a folklore story "The Jealous Father" when a man suspected his son was having a affair with one of his wives due to marks on her body and tried to get rid of him but in the end the son never had an affair and the father tried to get rid of his son over a false lie.  Today, we started a project. My group is responsible for the moral aspect of the story.

Christina's blog post 1/7

 Today in class, we learned about 3 rhetorical devices. The devices we learned were hyperbole, understatement, and litotes. Hyperbole: Today's lesson was so revolutionary, my brain doubled in size! Understatement: We spent a few minutes looking at words today.  Litotes: Learning about rhetorical devices today wasn't exactly a waste of time.
