Something I will never fully understand is math. There are so many different concepts, numbers, and formulas, and it's all too much to remember. I wonder about numbers. Like who said 2+2=4? Who created numbers and formulas? It doesn't really make sense. Everyone in society just agreed and never questioned it. Unfortunately for me, math is everywhere, so I will never fully escape it. I can only try to understand to the best of my ability. Today in class, we presented our origin myths posters.

My most absurd personal experience was one time, it was after school, when my friend and I decided to go to church that evening. Also, around this time, I had a strange addiction to eating cornstarch. I just liked the texture, and I liked the taste. Anyway, I had my friend taste it, and her parents came to pick us up to take us to church, and we weren't ready, so we rushed to get out the door, leaving the box of corn starch open. We went to church and enjoyed the service. After the service, there was an ice cream truck outside, so we decided to get some. As we waited for her parents to pick us up, a young man approached me offering a prayer. I accepted, and these 2 people started praying for me and my friend. At first, things were normal, but they started to get weird. Before I knew it, 5 people were all gathered around me, praying for me, speaking in tongues. I didn't know what to do. It was crazy. After that, her parents arrived and drove me home. My friend came inside to get...

A time I felt completely lost was when I moved back to Georgia from Texas. Although I was born in Georgia, I lived in Texas for the majority of my life. I had made friends that I love and so many memories. So when I moved back to Georgia, I was pretty lost. I moved to a more metro part of Atlanta, while during my childhood I lived in the suburbs. I still kept in touch with my childhood friends, but I didn't live very close to them. It was different, but I adapted quickly. The hard part for me was honestly missing my friends and seeing them all together, knowing I couldn't be there anymore. It was sad at first, but I realized that I could make new memories just like I had made memories with my friends before. Today in class, we presented our jealous father PowerPoint. I learned different aspects of the jealous father story and was able to gain a deeper look at the characters' actions, the morals of the story, and the themes.

A real-life situation in which jealousy negatively affected a relationship I experienced is one time I asked my friend to go to the boardwalk with me, and she told me she couldn't go. The next day, I saw that she had gone without me with another friend. I'm not going to lie, I did feel a little jealous, but in the end, it was a misunderstanding. She had already had plans to go with someone else and couldn't go with me that day. Today, I learned about a folklore story "The Jealous Father" when a man suspected his son was having a affair with one of his wives due to marks on her body and tried to get rid of him but in the end the son never had an affair and the father tried to get rid of his son over a false lie.  Today, we started a project. My group is responsible for the moral aspect of the story.
